Aronimink Golf Club

Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, PA, is a storied Donald Ross design dating to 1926, stretched to 7,300-plus yards and playing to a par-72 for members (par-70 in championship setup). A meticulous 2017 restoration by Gil Hanse returned Ross’s signature runoff areas, deep flashed bunkers, and strategic angles, delivering a parkland test that rewards precision driving and deft short-game touch over its rolling, tree-lined terrain. Undulating greens, shifting elevation, and often penal collection areas keep the course relentlessly engaging from first tee to final putt. The club’s pedigree is underscored by a tournament résumé that includes the 1962 PGA Championship, 1977 U.S. Amateur, 2003 Senior PGA, 2010-11 AT&T National events, the 2018 BMW Championship, and the upcoming 2026 PGA Championship and 2020/2021 KPMG Women’s PGA. Beyond the championship layout, members enjoy an expansive practice range, dedicated short-game complex, stately Georgian-style clubhouse, caddie program, swimming, tennis, paddle, and multiple dining venues. Strictly private and invitation-only, Aronimink offers a timeless, traditional golf experience minutes west of Philadelphia.
