Dearborn Country Club

Dearborn Country Club occupies 160 acres at the corner of North Military and Outer Drive in Dearborn, Michigan, a few miles west of downtown Detroit. It is a private, 18-hole course with a Tudor-Revival clubhouse by Albert Kahn and year-round club amenities, including dining rooms, fitness areas, a competition-size pool, and active junior programs. Golfers today find a par-72 layout that measures 6,832 yards from the back tees, with walking and caddie programs, modern cart infrastructure, and a full practice program that includes a range (assessed as a separate member fee), short-game areas, and putting greens. The club presents itself as a traditional, member-focused venue rather than a public attraction; prospective players encounter tree-lined corridors, several water hazards, and a set of large greens that today often feature pronounced interior contouring and multi-tier separations. The club opened in 1925 and credits Donald Ross with the original design; later work in the 1960s and 1980s, discussed below, shapes much of the way the course plays in the present day.
