Delaware Golf Club

Set on the south side of Delaware, Ohio, the Delaware Golf Club occupies a rolling property at 3329 Columbus Pike threaded by three pronounced valleys, wooded ridges, and a series of ravines and ponds. The facility operates as a public daily-fee club with a clubhouse, bar and patio space, and meeting rooms overlooking the course. Practice amenities include a full-size, lighted and heated driving range, a large putting green, and a chipping green with bunkers. From the championship tees the course plays to a par of 71 and 6,925 yards, with a USGA rating/slope of 72.9/132; the blue tees measure 6,434 yards. The club presents its 18 holes as two contrasting nines: a back nine attributed locally to Donald Ross and a front nine added decades later by Dr. Michael Hurdzan with input from Fuzzy Zoeller. The routing today moves repeatedly across the site’s valleys and ridges, producing a mix of long two-shotters, reachable par fives, and two strategically placed par threes late in the round. Ohio Wesleyan University has long used the course (formerly known as Dornoch Golf Club) for collegiate play and, after the modern expansion, the course hosted the 2003 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship.
