Delray Beach Golf Club

Delray Beach Golf Club is the City of Delray Beach's municipal golf course, at 2200 Highland Avenue just south of West Atlantic Avenue. The course is closed for a full renovation. Play stopped on November 3, 2025, and the club and the city's project website give February 2027 as the reopening date for both the course and the clubhouse. The work, budgeted at about $30 million and paid for with a municipal revenue bond, rebuilds the course from tee to green: new irrigation and drainage, greens rebuilt to USGA specification with TifEagle Bermuda grass, continuous cart paths and a new canal crossing, a longer driving range, new practice and teaching areas, a new maintenance facility, parking lot and restroom shelters, and an updated clubhouse. Sanford Ferris Golf Design is the architect and NMP Golf Construction the builder. Bobby Jones Links took over management for the city in 2026. The 18 holes come from two architects. The south nine is what was built of Donald Ross's 1925 plan, and the north nine is Dick Wilson's 1950 addition. A drainage canal runs through the property and crosses several holes. The renovation restores each nine in the style of its own architect. The architects' plans call for a par-72 course of 4,611 to 7,111 yards. Before the closure it was a busy daily-fee course, recording about 60,000 rounds a year.
