Hole 7 · Par 3 · 154 yds
A carry over three front bunkers
The 154-yard 7th from the Black tees is the shortest hole on the card and one of two par 3s at Essex that need a carry rather than a run-up. Three bunkers close off the front of the green, left, centre and right, about 22 to 28 yards short of its centre, and two smaller bunkers sit behind its back-left and back-right corners about 14 yards past the centre. The green is broader than it is deep, roughly 31 yards across and 26 from front to back. A 2011 Golf Club Atlas tour described the back portion of the green as split in two by a well-defined feature coming off the back. Trees line both sides of the short corridor.
