Hendersonville Country Club
Set amid the Laurel Park neighborhood at the base of Hebron Mountain in Hendersonville, NC, Hendersonville Country Club (HCC) is a private, member-owned facility with an 18-hole course that plays today as a par 70 from 6,507 yards at the back (Black) tees. The club operates year-round in the Blue Ridge climate and supports the course with a driving range plus three practice greens dedicated to putting and short-game work. Golf activity is anchored by men’s and women’s associations and a full calendar of member events rather than outside championships. Visitors encounter a walkable routing across rolling ground with corridors framed by mature pines and hardwoods. The clubhouse complex includes multiple dining venues, and non-golf amenities—pool, tennis and fitness—reflect a multi-sport membership culture; the golf course nevertheless remains the property’s organizing feature. The current scorecard confirms a classical par-70 sequence with four par 3s (Nos. 2, 4, 13 and 17) and two par 5s (Nos. 5 and 16), producing a round that alternates pace and asks for precise approach play as much as driving length. The club presents itself explicitly as a Donald Ross course, and institutional history ties the present layout to a Ross plan associated with the interwar Laurel Park Estates development that evolved into today’s HCC.
