Lake Shore Country Club

Perched on bluffs above Lake Michigan, Lake Shore Country Club in Glencoe delivers classic Midwestern golf with dramatic coastal scenery just 20 miles north of Chicago. The private 18-hole layout, originally routed in 1908 and refined by noted architects, plays to a strategic par 71 that stretches about 6,600 yards from the championship tees. Mature hardwoods frame tight, rolling fairways, while bold Langford-style bunkering protects fast, subtly contoured greens; wind off the lake can turn every hole into a new test. Highlights include the downhill, lake-view par-3 6th and the risk-reward par-5 16th that tempts longer hitters to reach in two. Members enjoy a full caddie program and walking-friendly routing. Comprehensive practice grounds feature a double-ended range, expansive short-game complex, and year-round indoor simulators. Beyond golf, the club offers lakefront swimming, sailing and paddleboarding, eight tennis and platform courts, fitness center, junior camps, and elegant dining terraces overlooking the water. Tradition, conditioning, and scenery combine to create one of Chicagoland’s most coveted memberships.
