Lenoir Golf Club

Lenoir Golf Club sits on the south side of downtown Lenoir in NC’s foothills, a few miles down the 321 corridor from Blowing Rock and Boone. The club operates as a public/semi-private facility: daily-fee play is available, and optional memberships provide access to programming and preferred pricing. The course today is an 18-hole par-71 that measures 6,385 yards from the back tees. It presents a compact routing over gently rolling ground with two small streams cutting across portions of the property, and it concludes beside a modest clubhouse and golf shop. Practice amenities include a warm-up range and a putting green situated close to the first tee. The putting surfaces are bentgrass and, by the club’s description, generally small, placing a premium on approach play and recovery around the greens. Visitors encounter a straightforward, walkable layout with tree-lined fairways, a mix of short and mid-length two-shot holes, and mid-iron par-3s—most notably the 191-yard twelfth and 197-yard seventeenth from the championship markers. The club’s public-facing materials consistently trace the present course to a nine-hole layout that opened in 1928, a Donald Ross redesign in 1945, and an expansion to a full eighteen in 1961.
