North Fork Country Club

Set beside Main Road in Cutchogue on Long Island’s North Fork, North Fork Country Club is a private, walkable 18-hole course whose core dates to a Donald Ross nine built in 1911–12. Today the club presents a compact, sea-level landscape with views toward Downs Creek, West Creek and Peconic Bay, and a playing experience built around small, well-bunkered greens and quarter-to-half-club winds off the water. The club operates without tee times and supports active men’s, women’s and junior groups. Practice consists of a Full Swing and Short Game area adjacent to the course, and golf services are centered on a traditional pro shop in the clubhouse complex. Turf today is bent/Poa on both fairways and greens, and the longest daily markers (Blue) stretch a little over 6,300 yards, par 71. Recent work has re-profiled bunkers and fairway edges and sharpened green perimeters without upscaling length, so the course remains a brisk member’s walk with strategic bite at the greens and around diagonal bunkering. Membership is private, with regular, trial and junior categories published by the club.
