Panama Country Club

Panama Country Club sits on a low, sandy peninsula along North Bay in Lynn Haven, just north of Panama City. It is a private club with an 18-hole course, full-practice setup (driving range and putting greens), a waterfront clubhouse complex, pool, and food-and-beverage spaces; activities and access are centered on member play and events rather than daily-fee traffic. Present-day yardage from the back tees is about 6,600 yards, playing as par 72—a compact, walkable routing with medium-narrow corridors and greens that emphasize precise approach play more than brute length. Several holes turn in toward the bay, and the finishing stretch includes a reachable par-5 eighteenth that invites risk if the tee shot takes on the correct line. The course and clubhouse were significantly repaired and updated after Hurricane Michael (October 2018), with the club reopening golf operations in 2019 and the rebuilt clubhouse following later; the storm recovery also prompted turf, drainage, and tree-management changes that left the course visually more open than in previous decades.
