Pine Ridge Golf Club
Pine Ridge Golf Club lies just north of Winnipeg’s perimeter, on the sandy, rolling ground of Bird’s Hill. It is a private, member club with a compact, walkable routing and a modern clubhouse campus (recently renovated and expanded) that anchors dining, event, and member-services spaces. Golf facilities include a grass-tee practice range, chipping area, and large putting green, and the course itself plays par 72 at roughly 6,660 yards from the back markers depending on set-up. The everyday experience is classic prairie-parkland: tree-lined corridors on gentle relief, shifting winds across the ridge, and quick, sloping greens that reward precise approach play more than raw power. Members identify a signature one-shotter at No. 9 (played uphill to an encircling set of bunkers) and a celebrated Ross par-3 at No. 14, each framing the club’s traditional character. Pine Ridge remains a favored Winnipeg championship venue, hosting the Manitoba Open in multiple eras and—more recently—the Mackenzie Tour/PGATOUR Canada’s Players Cup, so conditioning, pace, and tournament-ready green speeds are part of the present-day identity.
