Raritan Valley Country Club

Raritan Valley Country Club sits in Bridgewater, New Jersey, on gently rolling ground between the Raritan River corridor and Somerset County’s suburban ridgelines. Today the private, member-owned club presents an 18-hole, par-72 course that plays a touch under 6,800 yards from the championship tees, with a reputation for small, tilting greens and varied terrain that make the card’s numbers play longer. The golf course anchors a broader club setting that includes a roughly 30,000-square-foot clubhouse, pro shop, racquet facilities (Har-Tru courts), dining, and family-oriented programming under Troon Privé management. The practice offering includes a range and short-game areas appropriate to the site’s land envelope. Recent capital projects have emphasized both clubhouse modernization and on-course conditioning, including a phased bunker program and facility upgrades underway since the late 2010s. A visitor finds a classic northeast parkland profile—tight turf lines against hardwood backdrops—tempered by recent tree and presentation work that has reopened select corridors and sightlines. It is a members’ club; play is by invitation of a member, and the course also periodically hosts qualifiers and scholastic events for area golf associations.
