Siwanoy Country Club
Siwanoy Country Club sits on a compact, rolling property in Bronxville/Eastchester, just north of New York City. It is a private, members’ club centered on an 18-hole course that plays today in the 6,300–6,600-yard range depending on tees, with a traditional par of 71 (one hole may toggle between par 4/5). The walk is intimate: holes turn over briskly through gentle ridges, creek corridors and mature club grounds, with frequent changes in direction and elevation creating steady variety. The club operates a fully renovated historic clubhouse, dining spaces (including the Donald Ross Grill and Terrace Bar), and active racquets and aquatics programs; practice areas are available and governed by standard attire rules. The course’s present character is of a restored Golden-Age parkland layout with small-to-midsize, quick greens, strategic fairway bunkering, and penalties that derive more from angle and contour than raw length. For visitors and guests, the playing experience is defined by precise approaches into well-defended greens (e.g., the short but exacting par-3 6th), a mix of reachable but risky three-shotters (the 18th is the definitive closer), and thoughtful short-par fours that reward placement over power. Recent clubhouse work and ongoing course stewardship have left the facility feeling historically grounded yet operationally modern.
