Stryker Golf Course at Fort Bragg

Stryker Golf Course sits along Bragg Boulevard on the north side of Fayetteville, NC, just outside the controlled gates of the Army post (renamed Fort Liberty in 2023). The facility is operated by the installation’s Family & MWR and is open to the general public, with a stand-alone clubhouse, full pro shop, locker rooms, and practice range. Day-to-day, Stryker plays as a par-72, roughly 6,600 yards from the back markers, with one principal water crossing and otherwise a tree-lined, gently rolling Sandhills parkland setting. The presentation is straightforward and walkable; defenses come from angled fairway bunkers, subtly perched targets, and tilting greens rather than from forced carries. Because it is an Army facility, the calendar blends military and civilian play: leagues and scrambles share the tee sheet with annual on-post championships and open amateur events, and helicopter flyovers and training activity occasionally provide the soundtrack. In 2024–25, the property featured in public discussions about alternative uses (including a potential high school site and, later, an “entertainment complex”), but as of this writing the course remains in operation with posted hours and a steady slate of events.
