Timuquana Country Club, designed by Donald Ross in 1923, stands as one of Florida's premier private golf clubs situated along the picturesque St. Johns River in Jacksonville. This classic course exemplifies Ross's design philosophy with strategically placed bunkers, subtly undulating greens, and wide fairways framed by magnificent oak trees draped with Spanish moss. The course underwent a careful restoration completed in 2002 by architect Bobby Weed, who worked diligently to return the layout to Ross's original vision. Playing to just over 6,900 yards from the championship tees, Timuquana presents a balanced challenge that rewards precision and thoughtful shot-making rather than raw power. Known for its exceptional conditioning and old-world charm, Timuquana has hosted numerous significant tournaments, including the 2002 USGA Senior Amateur Championship and the Constellation Furyk & Friends PGA Tour Champions event.
