Allegheny Country Club
Allegheny Country Club in Sewickley, Pennsylvania is a private, classic Donald Ross layout dating to 1902. Set on rolling, wooded terrain just 15 miles northwest of downtown Pittsburgh, the walk-able 18-hole course stretches 6,581 yards from the championship tees (par 70, rating 72.2/135) and demands precision with its narrow, tree-lined fairways, strategic bunkering and small, lightning-quick greens. Multiple tee boxes, including a forward set at 4,970 yards, keep the routing enjoyable for all skill levels, while an extensive caddie program preserves the club’s traditional playing experience.
Members enjoy a full practice complex featuring a double-ended grass range, short-game area, practice putting green and winter teaching studio. Beyond golf, the hilltop clubhouse offers formal and casual dining, locker rooms and event spaces overlooking the course. A resort-style pool, eight Har-Tru tennis courts, platform tennis courts and a year-round fitness center round out the amenities. Allegheny Country Club combines rich history, first-class conditioning and comprehensive family facilities, making it one of western Pennsylvania’s premier private clubs.
