Bacon Park Golf Course

Bacon Park Golf Course is a historic, municipal course in Savannah, Georgia, known for its Donald Ross design and affordable public access. It is now owned by the city and managed by OC Welch Golf Properties. The course features rolling fairways, sloped greens, and clever bunkering, characteristics typical of a Donald Ross design. The full course is 18 holes, with a length of 6,418 yards from the back tees.   The course's layout provides a good challenge for serious golfers while remaining accessible to those with a higher handicap. Beginning in 2014, the historic Donald Ross-designed 18-hole course at Bacon Park Golf Course in Savannah, Georgia, was restored to its original 1926 layout, reopening in October 2015. The restoration was overseen by architect Richard Mandell of Richard Mandell Golf Architecture.
