Bass River Golf Course

Bass River Golf Course in South Yarmouth, MA is a classic course opened in 1900 and redesigned by Donald Ross in 1914 that plays 6,138 yards from the tips, 5,742 from the middle, and 5,240 from the forward tees, par 72 throughout. Routed along the tidal Bass River, the layout offers sweeping water views, strategic bunkering, and subtly contoured greens that reward precise approach play while remaining walker-friendly. A gentle front nine sets up a tighter, more river-hugging back, highlighted by the signature downhill 9th across the inlet. Owned and operated by the Town of Yarmouth, Bass River is fully public with value-oriented green fees and advance online tee times. Amenities include a practice putting green, short-game area, limited-flight warm-up range, pull and electric cart rentals, club rentals, and a well-stocked pro shop offering PGA instruction, clinics, and GHIN handicap service. The Bass River Grille serves breakfast, lunch, and post-round fare with patio seating overlooking the 18th green. Open April through November, the course welcomes daily-fee play, leagues, outings, and tournaments.
