Belleair Country Club - East

Belleair Country Club, Florida’s oldest golf club, pairs storied Donald Ross architecture with modern conditioning and amenities just minutes from Clearwater’s Gulf beaches. The private club fields two 18-hole layouts: the West Course, restored to Ross’s 1915 and 1924 drawings by Fry/Straka in 2022, and the East Course, Ross’s inland second eighteen of 1915—a par-71 of roughly 6,265 yards winding through mature oaks over gently rolling terrain. The East closed in spring 2026 for its own comprehensive Fry/Straka renovation, working from the same archive of Ross drawings that guided the West and paired with a master plan that more than doubles the club’s practice grounds; member reports anticipate a return to play around the end of 2026, though the club has not published a formal reopening date. A stately waterfront clubhouse anchors the experience with dining venues overlooking Clearwater Harbor, racquet sports, croquet, and a resort-style pool. Access is private, with limited guest play alongside members.
