Belmont Golf Course
Belmont Golf Course, a storied A.W Tillinghast design dating to 1917, now offers a fresh, flexible experience after a 2021 renovation by Love Golf Design and First Tee – Greater Richmond. The traditional 18-hole routing has been smartly reimagined into Belmont 12, a walk-friendly par-48 championship loop measuring 3,020 yards from the back tees, accompanied by “Little Bell,” a six-hole short course ideal for families, beginners, or a quick tune-up. Rounding out the fun is “The Ringer,” an 18-hole putting course that’s free to the public. Bent-grass greens, strategic bunkering, and Ross’s trademark turtle-back targets keep shot values intact while broader fairways and multiple tee boxes make the course enjoyable for all abilities. Daily-fee players can reserve tee times online, rent pushcarts or power carts, and take advantage of affordable replay and junior rates. A modern practice range, short-game area, fully stocked pro shop, and casual grill service complete the amenities, and PGA-certified staff offer individual lessons, group clinics, and First Tee youth programs year-round.
