Hole 17 · Par 6 · 720 yds
The 1964 par 6 the town billed as the world's longest
Our card measures the 17th at 720 yards from the Blue tees; the club advertises 747, and it opened in 1964 at 745 as the town's 'World's Longest Hole.' It is the only par 6 and the only hole over 500 yards. A creek channel runs down the left from about 80 to 350 yards, with tall trees and a neighbouring green beyond it, while woods line the whole right side. The fairway bends right about 475 yards out. Two bunkers guard the approach, one about 35 yards short near the centre line and one about 25 yards short on the left, and the green is round, about 25 yards across.
