The longest par 4, which the club calls a Ross hole
The 402-yard 7th from the Gold tees, stroke index 9, is the longest par 4. The club's history calls it one of two classic Ross par 4s, with a subtle false front and a green sloping from back to front, and credits Charles Banks with the built-up slopes left of and behind the green. From the tee the line passes a small pond on the right about 90 yards out and a longer one on the left from about 135 to 175 yards. The hole bends left about 265 yards out, with a road down the right. Three bunkers sit on the left edge of the fairway 65 to 90 yards short of the green and a fourth about 20 yards short at the front left.
