Brainerd Golf Course

Opened in 1926, Brainerd Golf Course is a classic Donald Ross municipal layout conveniently located minutes from downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. The 18-hole, par-72 track stretches 6,470 yards from the back tees and delivers a traditional Ross experience with narrow, tree-lined corridors, strategic bunkering and subtly contoured, push-up greens that reward precise shot-making. Water comes into play on four holes, adding risk-reward options without overwhelming higher-handicap players. Golfers can choose from four sets of tees, allowing the course to play as short as 5,000 yards for newer players or seniors. A full-service practice facility includes a grass driving range, expansive putting green and chipping area with bunker, ideal for warm-ups or lessons with the PGA-certified staff. Inside the recently renovated clubhouse you’ll find a fully stocked pro shop, informal grill and covered patio that overlooks the 9th and 18th greens. Power carts, push carts and club rentals are available, and daily rates remain some of the most affordable in the region. Brainerd is open year-round and welcomes tee-time reservations up to seven days in advance.
