Hole 5 · Par 4 · 320 yds

Ross's 300-yard par 4, bending right to a long green

Member research makes this the 300-yard par 4 of Ross's 1939 plan, made from a Travis par 3; at 320 yards from Tee 4 it is the shortest par 4 here. Sandy native ground runs from the tee to a fairway that begins about 195 yards short of the green, with trees down the left and native sand on the right. The hole bends right over its last 100 yards, with two bunkers on the inside of the bend about 75 and 90 yards short of the green. The green is a long oval up the line of play, roughly 35 yards deep and 25 across, with one long bunker down its left side and trees close on the right.
