A short iron over the pond between the water tanks
The 6th tee sits between two white water tanks, and from the 132-yard Blue tee the shot crosses a pond that fills the whole line from about 50 to 105 yards, ending roughly 10 yards short of the putting surface. The green is pear-shaped and deeper than it is wide, about 27 yards front to back, with one sand bunker on each side at mid-green and trees behind. The club's guide says the green tilts toward the pond and the lake. At the 1930 exhibition, Gene Sarazen put two balls in the water on the par-3 sixth.
