Country Club of Birmingham - East

Nestled in Birmingham’s historic Mountain Brook neighborhood, the East Course at the private Country Club of Birmingham delivers a pure Donald Ross experience that has challenged members since 1926. Stretching just under 7,000 yards from the back tees (par 71), the routing rolls across naturally undulating terrain, demanding accuracy off the tee and precise approaches to small, subtly contoured greens protected by classic Ross bunkering. Strategic risk-reward choices come early at the drivable par-4 3rd and culminate with a memorable closing stretch that includes the demanding par-3 15th over water and the uphill par-4 18th toward the stately Georgian-style clubhouse. Meticulously conditioned bent-grass putting surfaces and Zoysia fairways invite year-round play, supported by a full caddie program, modern cart fleet, and extensive practice complex featuring a double-ended range, short-game area, and putting course. Members enjoy reciprocal access to the club’s West Course, a lively social calendar, five dining venues, swimming, tennis, fitness, and a renowned junior-golf program that makes the Country Club of Birmingham a complete family retreat.
