Crestmont opens with a 480-yard par 5 from the Black tees, played away from the clubhouse. A cross bunker runs across the centre and right of the fairway about 130 yards out. Further on, a bunker on the left edge sits about 85 yards short of the green and another on the right about 45 short. The roughly round green has two bunkers on its left and a large one on its right, and just past that right bunker lies the 11th green almost against it.
