At 212 yards from the Black tees the 8th is Crestmont's longest par 3, and the tee shot crosses a pond that lies across the line about 50 to 100 yards short of the green, spreading wider to the right. A member's son recalled fishing in it in the late 1940s, decades before Robert Trent Jones's 1978 remodel. The oval green runs front to back, with one bunker short left, one on the right side and one behind on the left, and a line of trees down the left.
