The Saddle

The club calls this par 3 The Saddle, and the green explains why. It runs from a narrow front-right lobe to a wider section back left, pinched in the middle and angled away from the tee, with a deep swale through it that the Monmouth University course guide likens to a Valley of Sin. Two bunkers sit just short of the front, one in the centre and one right, with another right of the front lobe, one tucked into the left side at the waist and one behind on the right. Landing on the wrong side of the swale leaves a long, sloping putt.
