Hyannisport Club

Hyannisport Club sits on a low, windswept bluff above Nantucket Sound in the village of Hyannis Port on Cape Cod. The club is private (membership by invitation) and centers on an 18-hole, classic New England seaside course that threads between upland turf and the Hall’s Creek tidal marsh. The clubhouse occupies the high ground with long water views; the property also includes a tennis facility, and the club publicly describes itself as a golf & tennis club. Present-day golf at Hyannisport is defined by firm turf, steady coastal winds, modest-sized greens, and frequent encounters with the estuary—an experience closer to links golf than most Massachusetts courses. Water is visible from every hole on the property, and several holes sit directly on the marsh edge, demanding precise trajectory control on breezy days. Practice provisions are limited compared with modern resort facilities and can be constrained during events, but the course remains a walking-friendly, members’ layout where the setting, routing, and wind provide most of the challenge.
