Hyde Park Golf Club

Hyde Park Golf Club sits on Jacksonville’s Westside (Hyde Grove Avenue off Roosevelt Blvd/US-17), operating today as a daily-fee course. The club presents a classic, walkable par-72 at 6,468 yards from the back tees, with tee options down to ~5,464 yards and women’s par listed as 73 from the forward set. Facilities include a driving range and short-game areas, a pro shop, and food-and-beverage service geared to everyday play and leagues. Wayfinding and course materials emphasize the property’s mid-century tournament heritage—most famously the par-3 sixth (“Hogan’s Alley”) where Ben Hogan made an 11 during the 1947 Jacksonville Open—along with LPGA visits in the 1950s. The setting is defined by mature Southern pines and Spanish oaks that frame generally narrow corridors; water is not a defining hazard. As of 2025, the club has embarked on a restoration directed by architect Tyler Rae with on-site construction focused on greens, tees, and bunkers while the routing remains in use.
