Irondequoit Country Club

Irondequoit Country Club occupies 130 acres along East Avenue in suburban Pittsford, just east of Rochester and immediately adjacent to Oak Hill’s East Course. It is a private club with a full complement of amenities—clubhouse dining, tennis and paddle courts, pool, and a modern practice range supported by two practice greens and a short-game area. On the ground, the front nine moves over noticeably hilly terrain with frequent side-hill stances and several short, uphill par-4s into perched targets. The back nine, added on land purchased from Oak Hill, is flatter but knits a meandering creek into play on multiple holes; its long par-4s culminate in a reachable but well-defended par-5 eighteenth. The club presents multiple rated tee sets; the current scorecard lists a back-tee total of 6,830 yards at par 72 (Black), with Blue at 6,451 and White at 6,007. Recent capital projects have included practice-facility upgrades—an enlarged chipping green with new bunkers, a new putting green, and expanded range tees—while the course itself remains a walking-friendly, members’ venue that occasionally adapts pars for professional events.
