Kennett Square Golf & Country Club

Kennett Square Golf & Country Club sits on rolling ground in Chester County’s Toughkenamon Valley, with East Branch Red Clay Creek cutting across portions of the interior. Today it is a private, member-owned club offering an 18-hole, par-71 course, practice range (eight stations), a spacious putting green, and a short-game area with a practice bunker adjacent to the first and tenth tees. Club amenities include an Olympic-size pool, tennis and platform tennis, and year-round dining in the hilltop clubhouse. The course character is defined by canted fairways, uphill climbs to elevated greens, and a network of more than 80 strategically set bunkers that were recently rebuilt; several holes play down to, along, or back up from the Red Clay corridor. The setting is notably walkable and compact, with the clubhouse side occupying a central ridge and the far side across Locust Lane hosting a cluster of holes near the creek. Overall conditioning is maintained by a green staff that has also overseen significant creek-bank stabilization, which now shapes play on the lowland holes.
