Lake Pleasant Golf Course
Lake Pleasant Golf Course sits between Lake Pleasant and Sacandaga Lake in the central Adirondacks hamlet of Lake Pleasant, New York. It operates today as a modest, privately owned nine-hole course with public daily-fee access from roughly May through October. Facilities are intentionally simple: there is a clubhouse, a practice putting green, and basic hire services; there is no driving range and the course typically runs on a first-come, no-tee-times basis. The nine holes play to par 35 at 2,864 yards from the back tees, with three par threes, four par fours, and two par fives; four alternate tee boxes offer different angles for a second loop. Set on sandy, gently rolling ground in a shallow valley below the clubhouse, the routing moves toward broad lake views with tree-lined fairways and small, simply bunkered green sites. The experience is informal and local: a walkable Adirondack layout whose appeal lies in its setting and unhurried pace rather than in championship-scale demands.
