Muskegon Country Club

Muskegon Country Club occupies 130 acres of dune land between Lake Michigan and Muskegon Lake on the city’s west side, with the clubhouse at 2801 Lakeshore Drive. The course plays today at par 72 and 6,697 yards from the back tees, with fescue-framed fairways over rolling, sandy topography that keeps the ground game in constant play. The club operates as a private facility within the RedWater Golf collection; membership affords reciprocal access to sister West Michigan clubs. On-site amenities include dining venues, a pool, and seasonal simulators; practice accommodations and walking are supported, and the club advertises a driving range. Visitors encounter a traditional walk with demanding approach play and notably exacting green sites; there are no gimmicks, but little let-up once into the greens complexes. The club has hosted state championships and USGA qualifiers in the modern era, and recent agronomic and tree-management work has emphasized open corridors and firm, running conditions that suit the sandy setting.
