Riviera Country Club

Riviera Country Club occupies a compact, walkable property at 1155 Blue Road in Coral Gables, a residential district just west of the Biltmore Hotel and the University of Miami. The private, member club centers on an 18-hole course that today plays par 71at roughly 6,500 yards  from the back tees, with a short practice range (limited stations), putting green, and a clubhouse focused on golf-forward dining and member events. The corridors are generally open by South Florida standards; most holes are framed by housing setbacks and mature hardwoods rather than dense hammocks. Modern presentations emphasize tidy, moderately contoured greens and fairways interspersed with a small number of water features—most prominently a two-acre lake influencing play on the par-5 12th—so that scoring is more about placement and approach precision than raw length. Access is by member invitation; the club stages internal championships and local invitationals rather than state or national events. A visitor encounters a traditional parkland rhythm on a tight site, with several short par-4s balanced by stout mid-iron par-3s and a reachable par-5 or two that demand careful line selection around hazards.
