Sanford Municipal Golf Course sits a half hour north of Pinehurst in Sanford, NC, and operates today as a public, city-owned facility with a straightforward, affordable muni vibe. Visitors find a compact 18-hole layout with pine-lined corridors, modest length (6,304 yards from the back tees; par 71), and a back-nine setting that drops toward the Buffalo Creek corridor. On-site amenities include a large driving range, putting green, chipping area with practice bunker, a pro shop, snack bar, and league/lesson programming. Daily hours vary seasonally, and tee times are required. The course is managed by PGA professional David Von Canon.
