Hole 10 · Par 4 · 288 yds
Ross's opening hole, cut short in the 1970s
The 288-yard 10th from the Blue tees is the shortest par 4 on the card and stroke index 18. It was Ross's opening hole, and the National Register nomination records that it was shortened by about 90 yards in the 1970s, the biggest change to any hole. From a tee beside a cluster of service buildings it runs up a narrow corridor between tree lines, kinking right at about 160 yards and back left to the green, with a cart path down the left. One bunker sits on the right half of the fairway about 230 yards out, some 55 yards short of the green. The small oval green has no bunkers around it.
