Broadmoor Country Club

Broadmoor Country Club is a private club on the northwest side of Indianapolis, off Kessler Boulevard West Drive, with an 18-hole Donald Ross course that opened in 1924. The course plays to 6,904 yards and par 72 from the Black tees, with five main tee sets down to 5,041 yards. The site is close to flat: Golf Club Atlas found only about six feet between the high and low points of the front nine. Ross made up for it with heavy bunkering, about 135 bunkers, many set on the inside of doglegs or off the tees, and strongly contoured greens that mostly tilt from back to front. A small stream crosses the back nine and runs beside the par-3 4th. Hardwoods line most holes, though about 300 trees were thinned in the Bruce Hepner restoration that ended in 2022. The course closes with back-to-back par 5s. Golf facilities include a practice range and putting green, lessons, and junior programs. The club calls itself walking-friendly; carts are available, and caddies from the Evans Scholar program can be arranged with notice. Guests of members and reciprocal clubs check in at the golf shop. Beyond golf, membership includes dining in a renovated clubhouse, swimming, tennis and pickleball, and the club hosts weddings and banquets. Broadmoor is a member of the Donald Ross Society and hosted the 126th Indiana Amateur in 2026. GOLF Magazine ranked it sixth in Indiana in 2024-25.
