Ross ended Deal's round on a par 3 when he reset the finish in 1915, and the hole still plays downhill alongside the clubhouse the club built in 1898. The green is large and roughly round, about 40 yards across, with a ridge running across its middle, so the tee shot has to finish on the same side as the flag. Three small bunkers sit in a row just short of the front-left edge, two of them added in 2012, and a long bunker runs down the left side. The right side is short grass rather than sand.
